Ah, finally, Thanksgiving arrives. I will be spending the next 4 days on the other side of the state visiting family. I've taken back up dolling btw and have updated my layout on my site to include scroll bars since i kept getting complains about the mouseover scrolling I had on it. There's some new dolls and a new base on there which i haven't gotten around to uploading to my DA yet so go take a look. [link] I also managed to hit 50k in nanowrimo on day 11, go me~

Anyway, I'll be gone till sunday for thanksgiving, see you when I get back!

So, I'm sure some of you read my last journal entry about WoA. We've been working for months (we being myself, my twin sister and her husband and various volunteer staff members) to get WoA up and running. We'd previously been scheduled to open at the beginning of the month but ran into problems with our host who couldn't handle our complex scripting lol. So we had to change providors. That's been done now and everyon'es working on getting the last of the scripting done and all the store items for WoA populated to the shops.

For those of you who don't know what WoA is, WoA is an online pet site, the pets themselves are humanoid creatures called ai with forked hooves for feet, tails, and horns, they grow up, breed/"wish" and have babies all thier own and you can dress them up, get them pets of thier own, change thier hair styles etc. We expect to open within the next week or so at [link] but for now the forums are up at [link] so people can chat and discuss features for the upcoming site.

I only wish i had more time for regular artwork but i suppose after open it'll calm down a bit, right now i can only fill my time with ai-related art.

Anyway, if you're one of those people that love online pet sites or you like to rp a fursona you should check out the site, although all ai have hooved feet some also have fox tails and ears, cat tails and ears, dog tails and ears, angelic and demonic wings etc so you can translate practically any fursona character you have into an Ai (and members are already preparing to do so) at some later point we'll also be adding a new species to the game called the Phage who are true fursonas with fur etc. (pandas etc) Anyway, it's a fun distraction and I hope to see some of you there when we open XD.

ok, so how many of us out there are totally addicted to those virtual pet simulation sites like wajas.com, ponyisland.com or what have you? Yeah me too. Anyway, I've been uber-addicted to wajas lately and started up my own adoptables on the forum there as a way to earn wajas credits. but rather suddenly my little pets became a bit popular and next thing i know we've begun working on our own automated pet sim site.

[link] is our site, it's not up yet, but the forums are present [link]

my twin sister is our website designer, her husband who's a proffessional coder/scriptor is setting up all the automated scripts and I'm the artist for the site.

The pets themselves are called Ai and are basically humanoid critters with horns (different types from unicorn to ram) cloven hooves, tails and funny little ears. example: [link] I can't really go that much more in depth right now since the site isn't up yet but that's what i'm up to if anyone is wondering.

PS2 and errors

*random plug* don't forget to check out my published fantasy novel--> [link]

So, the holidays are finally over, thank goodness and the time has come i think to buy a new ps2. my current PS2 of the uber unfreindly model version 30001 is 5 years old roughly and like most of it's particular model breed it gets the unfreindly disc reading error. it absolutely refuses to play any discs.

i've cleaned the lens, i've adjusted the lens, i've rebooted it a hundred times, checked my disks for scratches, even tried the stand it on end, tape method and diognostic mode and nothing helps. ding dong the ps2 is dead.

i'm really not interested in getting a ps3, at least not untill a few years have passed and they become reasonably priced. so, i'm going to hike my way to the electronics store this weekend and by myself a spiffy new ps2 that is most decidedly not version 30001. at which point the old 30001 is getting sent off to dead electronics land.

I've been published!

So, this year i participated in NANOWRIMO (national novel writing month) and managed somehow to write a 50,000+ word fantasy novel. Which is somthing I've always wanted to do. Since finishing it I've had several people proofread it for me both for errors and just to see if it is any good and have gotten alot of great responses on it. Today it is officially published and released to the public and within the next few weeks it will be available at major retailers like amazon.com and barnes & noble. If anyone is interested in it it's a standard paperback novella and is currently available here--> [link]

or here--> [link]

If anyone buys a copy I would LOVE to know what you think of it, considering it's my first novel =^^=

Update: so my own personal copy of the book arrived in the mail today, gaaah i'm so excited, i think i ran about my house petting the book and squealing like a schoolgirl for like 10 minutes at least.

Update 2: Thanks to the fabulous responses both from freinds, family and random web surfers I am now starting work on the sequal to Beautous Beast which is for now provisionally titled 'The Beast Undone' I spent a good deal of my weekend going over Beauteous Beast both to check any last minute errors that needed fixing as well as to just read it through once for fun and see if i liked it as a reader and not just an author. I've decided to make the second book at least twice as long, Beauteous Beast was a good young adult length and was suitable for a young adult audience, I'd like to make the second book suitable for that audience as well but a good deal longer.

There are alot of unanswered questions in the first book none of which i'll mention here, I wouldn't want to give anything away after all but i hope to address some of them in the second book and look forward to developing the cast of characters more and adding in a few new ones for some flavor. So keep an eye out! I'll update this journal now and then with new information.

It turns out the life of an author, even a small one suits me quite well. =^^=

update: my book is now available at barnes & noble, amazon.com and elephant books, go look for a copy!
